Volume restoration at our Mermaid Beach clinic

Volume appointments at Mermaid Beach start with a full-face assessment rather than a look at the area you booked about. Charlie Ralph's approach is built on that — full-face assessment, conservative planning, and telling you when the treatment you asked for is not the one that would help.

If more than one area would make a difference, you are told what to treat first and why, and the plan is usually staged across appointments. That is partly clinical, since the product needs a fortnight to settle before the next decision is sensible, and partly practical — staging spreads the cost, and Afterpay is available on treatments.

What the treatment involves, how long results last, the downtime and the full list of risks are the same at both clinics: Volume Restoration.

Volume restoration at Mermaid Beach

Who does volume restoration at the Gold Coast clinic?

Charlie Ralph (Founder and Registered Nurse, AHPRA NMW0002241390) and Sherllesea (Registered Nurse, AHPRA NMW0002195471), both at Mermaid Beach. Sherllesea's clinical background is in emergency nursing, which matters for a treatment whose rare complications need recognising immediately.

Where is the Gold Coast clinic?

1/32B Lavarack Road, Mermaid Beach QLD 4218, one street back from the Gold Coast Highway between Nobby Beach and Broadbeach. Roughly five minutes from Broadbeach, ten from Burleigh Heads and twenty-five from Gold Coast Airport.

Can I have more than one area treated in a visit?

Sometimes, but it is often not the better answer. Your nurse will tell you what to treat first and what to reassess at your two-week review, rather than treating everything at once. You can stop after any stage.

Important health information

Required disclosure under AHPRA and TGA guidelines

Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.

Volume restoration treatments carry risks. Common side effects include temporary swelling, bruising, redness, tenderness and mild asymmetry. Less common but more serious risks include infection, product migration, nodule formation, and vascular occlusion — where the product obstructs a blood vessel. Vascular occlusion is rare and is a medical emergency; our practitioners are trained in recognising and managing it, and hyaluronic acid can be dissolved. All risks are discussed in full at your consultation.

  • All treatments require a consultation with a qualified practitioner. Individual results vary. This page is general information only, not medical advice.
  • Cosmetic procedures carry risks. These are explained to you in full at your consultation, along with the aftercare involved, before you decide whether to proceed.
  • All cosmetic procedures carry potential risks, including bruising, swelling, infection, scarring and allergic reactions. Some risks may be serious or lasting.
  • Results differ from person to person. A consultation assesses suitability — it does not promise that a treatment will suit you or that you will achieve a particular outcome.
  • Schedule 4 medications are prescribed only after a formal consultation with one of our qualified prescribing doctors, in line with AHPRA and TGA requirements.
